Door Dash Driver Carjacked At Gunpoint: American Canyon PD
Investigators were continuing to search for the suspect who took off in the victim's silver 2019 Nissan SUV, police said.
AMERICAN CANYON, CA — A Door Dash employee was carjacked Sunday night in American Canyon and police were continuing their search Monday for the suspect and the victim's car.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday, American Canyon police officers were sent to a report of a carjacking at an apartment complex at 5500 Eucalyptus Drive.
"Officers contacted the female victim, who stated she had a Door Dash delivery at this location but could not locate the apartment number she had been dispatched to," American Canyon police Chief Rick Greenberg said.

The victim told police that when she could not find the apartment number provided, the customer told her to meet them at a certain location in the parking lot of the complex.
She told police she was then approached by a tall, thin, Black man wearing a face covering.

The suspect pointed a handgun at her head and took her car keys and cell phone from her hands, then sped away in her silver 2019 Nissan SUV, the victim said.
"Officers are continuing to follow up on leads," Greenberg said Monday morning in a news release. "The suspect and victim's vehicle are still outstanding."
