Dump Truck Overturns, Spills Logs Onto Oakville Grade Road

Logs spilled onto the roadway, blocking it in both directions west of state Highway 29, the CHP said.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — A dump truck hauling logs overturned Monday afternoon on Oakville Grade, blocking the roadway in both directions, authorities said.

The crash was reported at 1:41 p.m. Monday, 2 miles west of SR-29, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Two people were taken to Queen of the Valley Medical Center for injuries suffered in the crash.

Logs spilled onto the roadway, leaving it blocked in both directions.

The roadway was expected to remain closed until 6 p.m. Monday, the CHP said.
