Earthquake Near Calistoga Shakes North Bay

BREAKING: Did YOU feel the temblor recorded at 8:59 a.m.?

NORTH SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CA -- A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck the North Bay Thursday morning, according to the USGS. The earthquake-monitoring agency reported that the temblor struck at 8:59 a.m. about 7 miles west-northwest of Calistoga at a depth of 4 miles, rattling much of Sonoma and Napa counties.

People across the North Bay – including in Fulton, Geyserville, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Windsor, Mill Valley, Sebastopol, Petaluma and elsewhere – reported feeling the quake, according to the USGS.

A Calistoga Police Department dispatcher said police received calls about the earthquake but no injuries have been reported.
