20th Annual Napa Valley AIDS Walk "Costumes for a Cure!"

The 20th Annual Napa Valley AIDS Walk will take on a fun-filled “spooktacular” look as the event takes place on Halloween weekend, Saturday, October 29th, beginning at 10:00 AM, at the Veterans Park on Main Street in downtown Napa, CA.  Walkers are encouraged to preview their Halloween costumes at the walk through the beautiful town of Napa. Presented by Winetasting.com, along with the Napa Valley Unity League, the 20th Annual Napa Valley AIDS Walk -"Costumes for a Cure!" - brings together the wine country community with a lively and fun walk, complete with "treats" throughout the walk for the kids and kids at heart! All proceeds will benefit Planned Parenthood Shasta Pacific, providing HIV prevention programming for the Napa Valley.
2011 AIDS Walk activities also include refreshments, raffles, team competitions, and educational stations, with all the fun set to music created by everyone's favorite DJ Rotten Robbie. In addition, KVON/KVYN will host a live remote with 1440 KVON and 99.3 The Vine morning DJ Kellie Fuller, of the popular "Kellie in the Morning" show - on location and broadcasting from the walk. Adding to the special Halloween festivities, special trick or treating stops will be situated along the walk for the kids and kids at heart, and are provided by lead sponsor Winetasting.com, along with its sister companies Cheryl's Cookies, Fanny May Chocolates and the Popcorn Factory. Access Adventure, founded by Michael Muir, the great-grandson of conservationist John Muir, will provide free horse and buggy rides for disabled walkers along the walk route.
Event co-chairs Scott Butler and Chris Edwards promise a Napa Valley AIDS Walk to remember.
"Having the AIDS Walk on Halloween weekend always brings out the fun-factor," stated co-chair Chris Edwards. "Last year, we had some wonderful costumes, and we're expecting the same this year. We’re even bringing back the people’s choice costume contest, and promise even more wonderful surprises this year, with the hopes of raising much needed funds for Planned Parenthood," Edwards added.
