A Festive Mother's Day In The North Bay: Photos

North Bay moms were treated to flowers, brunch, music and time with spent with family on train rides.

NAPA and SONOMA, CA — Mother's Day in the North Bay was filled with breakfast, brunch, bunches of flowers, live music and old-fashioned fun for moms, grandmothers and their families.

One of the most festive places to be Sunday in North Bay wine country was the historic Sonoma TrainTown in Sonoma. Children ran from ride to ride as their moms tried to keep up, the big attraction being a miniature train that families packed onto for a ride around the park.

At a Mother's Day brunch at Blue Note Napa in the historic Napa Opera House, mother-daughter singing duo Kellie Fuller and Alex Fuller proved to be a perfect pairing. Mom Kellie started the set off by strolling through the packed live music venue singing Young Rascals' 1967 hit, "Groovin' On A Sunday Afternoon."

Alex, admittedly more comfortable playing instruments, said she agreed to sing on stage for the first time as her Mother's Day gift to her mom. As tall as Taylor Swift and as witty as Katy Perry, Alex proved with her amazingly high, jazzy notes that she could easily be a contender on TV's "American Idol" or "The Voice."

Brunch guest Kaley Kaiser said she traveled from Ukiah to celebrate Mother's Day with Inga Tesler and Nancy Tesler, both of Napa. Their brunch table was decorated with flower arrangements Kaiser brought for the occasion.
