Crews Contain Fire At Napa Park
The vegetation fire was reported shortly after 8 p.m. Monday, according to Napa police.

NAPA, CA — Crews with the Napa Fire Department contained a fire that broke out Monday night at Westwood Hills Park, the Napa Police Department reported on social media. According to Napa police, the vegetation was reported at about 8:10 p.m., prompting a full response from Napa firefighters — along with police who helped evacuate nearby residences.
The fire initially burned several eucalyptus trees just south of the Browns Valley Road entrance to the park, police said.
As of 8:50 p.m., the blaze had charred approximately 2 acres. Within about an hour, however, the fire was contained, Napa police reported.

Napa firefighters were planning on staying at the scene of the fire overnight.
There was no immediate word on the total acreage burned in the fire.

What may have caused the blaze to break out also was not clear late Monday night.
