Two animal welfare organizations from outside Lake County are taking on Lake County's drastic animal over-population problem.

Two animal welfare organizations from outside Lake County are taking on Lake County’s drastic animal over-population problem. Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch (JARR) and Animal Refugee Response have teamed up to make possible the continuation and expansion of a very successful free spay/neuter program for the dogs and cats of low-income pet owners in Lake County.

Clearlake Pet Project, run by Contra Costa County based Animal Refugee Response completed it’s 500th free spay and neuter on August 14 in the Clearlake area. Now, Napa’s Jameson Animal Rescue Ranch has stepped up to fund the continuation of this important program, expanding free services to 300 more dogs and cats throughout Lake County.

Lake County low-income pet owners may apply now for free spay/neuter, vaccinations and parasite control for their dogs and cats. Applications for Lake County Pet Project may be downloaded at animalrefugee.org, or call (707) 330-3747 to receive an application by mail.
