Going Above The Call Of Duty: Napa Valley Photo Of Week

Napa County animal service officers responded to reports of two dogs in a very precarious position.

NAPA, CA — Napa County animal service officers recently went above their call of duty to ensure the safety of two dogs who were in a very precarious position, according to a report from the Napa County Sheriff's Office.

The officers responded to do a welfare check on the canines when they were spotted on the roof of a 20-foot-high apartment building in the 2600 block of Laurel Street.

"Both dogs are safe," sheriff's officials said in a social media post. "It doesn't appear they're afraid of heights."
