Highway 29 Reopens In American Canyon Following Crash Into Pole
A crash Thursday night left northbound Highway 29 closed between Green Island and South Kelly roads until Friday, police said.

AMERICAN CANYON, CA — A traffic accident Thursday night caused a power pole and phone lines to block northbound state Highway 29 in American Canyon until around 9:30 a.m. Friday, American Canyon Police Chief Oscar Ortiz said. The driver of the vehicle that hit and separated the pole at its base around 10 p.m. Thursday suffered minor injuries, Ortiz said.
Northbound Highway 29 was closed between Green Island and South Kelly roads, Ortiz said.
AT&T responded because its lines were dangling too low over the road for vehicles to pass. Napa bound traffic was diverted onto Interstate Highway 80 to Highway 12/Jameson Canyon Road, Ortiz said.
