Holiday Ice Rink Opens At Meritage Resort & Spa: What To Know

NAPA, CA — The Meritage Resort and Spa's holiday ice rink opened over the weekend and will remain open until Jan. 2.

Through Dec. 19, the rink is open 4 p.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Friday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on Saturdays, and 11 a.m.-8 p.m. on Sundays. Special Thanksgiving Day hours are 11 a.m.- 8 p.m. and on Black Friday, the rink is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

From Dec. 20 through Jan. 2, the rink is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. daily except for Sundays when it is open 11 a.m.-8 p.m. There are also special holiday hours for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day when it is open 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; and on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, the rink is open 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

The cost is $25 per person for a 90-minute skating session, and that includes skate rental. Military and first responders get a $5 discount on Tuesdays. Reservations must be made online and staff members are available onsite to assist guests who need help making the reservations. Adjacent to the rink there are igloos— not the cold kind! —and fire pits that can be reserved for use as part of the ice-skating experience.

Food, wine, beer and other beverages are available from several onsite vendors, and there is a family-friendly picnic area.

Guests can bring a toy Nov. 11-Dec. 19 to donate to The Salvation Army this holiday season and place it in the collection space at Fivetown Grocery or the North Pole Gift Shop.

The Merry Meritage festivities grow brighter Friday, Nov. 26, when the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is held. RSVP here for the family-friendly event featuring Christmas carolers and photos with Santa Claus.

Starting Saturday, Nov. 27, there is a 100 percent chance of snow every evening at 6 p.m. as part of the Merry Meritage festivities.
