NAPA, CA — Evacuation and shelter-in-place orders were lifted Friday afternoon for a Napa neighborhood, several hours after a truck hauling a "mixed load of hazardous materials" overturned along Redwood Road on a "hairpin turn" at Lynn Drive, according to an update from the city of Napa.
The Napa Police Department at 4:22 p.m. said Redwood Road was reopened.
In a 2:15 p.m. update, city officials said the overturned truck was removed from the roadway, tanks were secured and roadway cleanup was underway.

As crews worked to sort out the incident, a shelter-in-place was activated within 300 feet of the incident, and all affected residences were alerted via door-to-door notification, city of Napa Spokeswoman Jaina French said.
Shortly thereafter, residents of Lynn Drive and one residence on Redwood Road were evacuated as a precaution, French said. Red Cross was on hand and CrossWalk Community Church opened its doors to evacuees.
Napa Fire Department personnel reported that the driver of the truck was not injured in the incident.
