Kevin Costner & Modern West Coming To Yountville

Modern West plays standard, more straight-ahead rock music that is fun, rich, and enjoyable.
Their music has elements of rock and roll, Americana, country and folk. The style is comparable to Tom Petty, John Cougar Mellencamp or Bryan Adams in sound. Costner is heavily inspired by a combination of storytelling, cinematic and musical influences.

Modern West’s most recent project is the 2012 concept album “Famous for Killing Each Other,” a collection of songs inspired by the miniseries “Hatfields and McCoys.” Costner earned an Emmy in 2012 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie. The soundtrack features 19 tracks, eight of which were co-written by Costner, including “I Know These Hills” and “Oh, Malley-Mae,” the latter of which is written and performed by Costner’s daughter, Lily Costner. The album peaked at No. 6 on Billboard’s Top Soundtracks list.

Costner is most commonly known for his movies such as “Field of Dreams”, “Dances with Wolves”, “JFK” and “No Way Out”. He has won two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and one Emmy Award. He has been nominated for three BAFTA Awards and a multitude of other awards for his outstanding acting.
