Lariat Fire Damages 1 Structure In Napa County

Crews contained the Pope Valley wildfire at 1 acre.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — One home was damaged in a vegetation fire Monday in the Pope Valley area of Napa County.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m. Monday, Cal Fire's Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit reported crews were battling a wildfire near the 200 block of Lariat Street. At the time, the fire was believed to be 2 acres.

By 7:30 p.m, firefighters stopped the forward progress of the blaze at one acre and extinguished the structure fire, Cal Fire said on Twitter.

Crews remained on the scene to put out hot spots and strengthen the containment line.
