March 1 Deadline for Arts and Culture Grant Proposal
Only registered 501(c)3 organizations working in Napa County's arts and culture sector are eligible to apply.

NAPA, CA - Nonprofit organizations interested in applying for grant funds from the Napa County Arts and Culture Advisory Committee (NCACAC) can begin submitting their proposals Jan. 5, 2016.
NCACAC has now released the guidelines for applying. Applicants will be able to apply for funds under the Visitor Management guidelines for tourism promotion activities as well as the Capacity Building program guidelines. Completed applications must be received no later than 5 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2016.

About $95,000 in Capacity Building and $115,000 in Visitor Management programs is available for this round of grant funding. Funding for the grants comes from the Special Projects Fund established by the Board of Supervisors, which is funded by a percentage of the Napa County Transient Occupancy Tax.

Applications for the Capacity Building program may be submitted for amounts ranging from $1,000 to $30,000, depending upon the total annual budget of an organization. All applications and supporting documents must be submitted online.
Arts Council Napa Valley will support this process by providing the NCACAC with evaluations of on independent review panel, which will be discussed by the committee at their public meeting held on April 25, 2016.
The final recommendations will be submitted to county staff for presentation to the Board of Supervisors, which will decide what organizations receive funding and in what amounts.
To support this program, a free two-day workshop on grant writing and capacity building will available to all arts and culture nonprofits.
The workshop, provided by the county in partnership with Arts Council Napa Valley, will be led by The Cultural Planning Group on Jan. 15 and Feb. 19. For more information and to reserve a seat, email Colette Schow at colette@artscouncilnv.org.
