Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing Into Parked Trailer in American Canyon
A Ducati rider loses control of motorcycle, but investigators say speed, alcohol, drugs were not factors.
NAPA VALLEY, CA —A 34-year-old died after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing into a parked trailer at an American Canyon intersection, police said.
American Canyon Police responded shortly after 11 a.m. Monday to a reported motorcycle collision at Elliott Drive and Capra Drive.
Investigators determined the rider, a Sacramento resident, was operating a black 2000 Ducati motorcycle when he lost control while navigating a turn and struck a parked trailer.

Emergency crews transported the rider to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities closed roads in the area for about two hours.

Preliminary findings indicate excessive speed was not a factor, and investigators do not suspect the rider was under the influence. Police said the rider was not wearing a helmet and was not licensed to operate the motorcycle.
