Napa County Appoints New Chief Public Health Officer
Dr. Karen Relucio begins her role July 6.

Napa County has named Dr. Karen Relucio as the county’s new Chief Public Health Officer, according to county officials. Relucio has served as assistant health officer in San Mateo County since 2006.
She is an HIV specialist, board certified in infectious disease and internal medicine, according to county officials. Relucio received her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago. She completed an internship and residency training in internal medicine at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston.
She also completed a fellowship in infectious disease at Stanford University Medical Center, according to county officials.

Relucio’s appointment will be put of the agenda for the June 23 meeting of the Napa County Board of Supervisors, and she’s expected to begin working as chief public health officer July 6, according to county officials.
