Napa County Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission to Host Joint Meeting

The Napa County Board of Supervisors (BOS) and Planning Commission are scheduled to host a joint meeting at 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, at the Napa Valley Unified School District Auditorium, 2425 Jefferson St., in Napa.
The special BOS meeting is still set for 9 a.m., prior to the joint meeting.

The combined BOS/Planning Commission meeting is an educational forum to discuss community concerns about the cumulative impacts of new development on the county. Please note the location change to accommodate for an anticipated larger crowd.
There will be three presentations that provide an overview of land use, traffic, and tourism.

The staff report and additional documents will be made available on the county’s site.
The board will discuss and consider:
· Directing staff to return with a draft resolution and guidelines to establish an ad hoc advisory committee to review the Winery Definition Ordinance;
· Forming a Board of Supervisors ad hoc committee to discuss joint efforts to address regional land use issues;
· Directing staff to complete the Climate Action Plan; and
· Directing staff to revise the Circulation Element of the General Plan, including preparation of a draft traffic mitigation fee.
The meeting is open to the public and will be streamed online at countyofnapa.org. As always, there will be an opportunity for public comment, with individual comments limited to three minutes. The Napa Valley Unified School District is suspending its parking permit enforcement for the day at the location; however, parking for this event is limited. Please consider other alternative transportation such as carpooling, busing or bicycling.
To encourage alternative transportation, Napa County Transportation & Planning Agency staff will hand out a short survey, asking people how they arrived at the meeting. Small prizes will be given to individuals who take alternative transportation to the meeting, although prizes are limited and will be given out on a first-come first-serve basis.
