Napa County To Close Local Assistance Center; FEMA Remains Open

The center in St. Helena has provided in-person services to 256 residents impacted by the Hennessey Fire and 1,068 from the Glass Fire.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Effective Tuesday and for the remainder of this week, Napa County's Local Assistance Center – LAC – is open daily from noon until 6 p.m. for in-person services for residents affected by the recent Hennessey and Glass fires.

Because of a decrease in demand for in-person service, the LAC will close effective at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20. Virtual assistance will remain available through "Virtual Local Assistance Center" resources on the county's website or by calling 707-299-2190.

The center at St. Helena First Presbyterian Church, 1428 Spring St., has provided "One Stop Information" for more than 1,300 local residents impacted by the recent Hennessey and Glass wildfires: 256 from the Hennessey Fire and 1,068 from the Glass Fire.

Although the county's LAC is going virtual, the Federal Emergency Management Agency — FEMA — will continue to provide in-person service for federal resources from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday through Dec. 11 at the same location at St. Helena First Presbyterian Church.

The deadline to register for FEMA assistance for the Hennessey Fire is Nov. 23, while the deadline to register for FEMA assistance for the Glass Fire is Dec. 16.

Napa County Planning, Building and Environmental Services will continue to accept Right of Entry forms and Debris and Ash Removal Plans through Dec. 15 by appointment by calling 707-299-1350.
