Napa County Seeking Its 100-Year-Olds For Special Ceremony
The Board of Supervisors is planning a celebration for local individuals who have lived a century or longer.

From Napa County: Napa County is seeking the names of local centenarians for its seventh annual celebration honoring those who are 100 years old or older.
On Tuesday, Oct. 24, the Napa County Board of Supervisors (BOS) will celebrate individuals who have lived a century or longer. The event, which follows National Centenarians Day, is scheduled from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Native Sons of the Golden West Hall, 937 Coombs St., in downtown Napa.
Life expectancy for Americans increased dramatically from 49 years of age in 1900 to over 76 years as a result of improved health care, nutrition, and quality of life – a trend that is expected to continue. Centenarians have defied life expectancy projects by at least 20 years.
