Napa Firefighters Stop Atlas Peak Flames From Turning Into Roadside Blaze

CAL FIRE and the Napa County Fire Department contained an engine compartment blaze on Atlas Peak Road before it could spread.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — Napa firefighters knocked down a vehicle fire on Atlas Peak Road early this morning, turning what could have been a dangerous roadside blaze into a swift save.

Fire crews with CAL FIRE and the Napa County Fire Department arrived to find flames burning in a vehicle’s engine compartment, according to a brief on Facebook.

No injuries were reported, and firefighters extinguished the blaze, keeping flames from spreading into surrounding vegetation along Atlas Peak Road.
