Napa Grad Nite offer "Early-Bird" tickets for June event

Napa Grad Nite offers online "early-bird" tickets and seeks volunteers for the annual night out for graduating high school seniors

Napa Grad Nite will again be held at the Napa Valley College campus on Thursday, June 9th. Doors open at 9pm and the event continues until 5am the next morning, after the headline act finishes and the final door prizes are given away. The organizing committee expects in excess of 600 students from the Napa area high schools to attend and this year is again offering “early-bird” tickets to the event. These early-bird tickets are currently priced at $35 until 3/31 and rise $5 each month until the event. Admission at the door on June 9th will be $50 per student.

Tickets are available for purchase now on the Napa Grad Nite website at napagradnite.com.

“Starting last year we offered these early-bird tickets ahead of the event to allow graduating seniors and their parents an opportunity to save money by buying their tickets early” says Rich Jacobson, President of Project Graduation Inc., the 501(c)(3) non-profit founded to organize and run the event each year “Tickets are currently $35 but will be $40 from April 1, $45 from May 1 and we stop selling tickets online on May 31 with tickets at the door priced at $50. So the advice is to buy them early! ”

Activities at the 2016 event this year will include a Hypnotist – Live D.J. & Dancing - Casino – Laser Tag- Salon Hair Styling & Manicures - Interactive Games - Arcade Games – Poker Tournament – All Nite All-You-Can-Eat Buffet, plus activities Jacobson indicated would be surprises for the seniors that they won’t be unveiling until the night itself!

As always Napa Grad Nite needs an army of volunteers to help the event run smoothly and are looking for members of the community to assist. Volunteers get to help make a lot of kids very happy on their big night and, like students, can partake in the buffets and BBQ’s available. Anyone wanting to volunteer can do so by contacting Bruce Nothmann at 707-637-6880 or via the Napa Grad Nite website.

“The event is heavily subsidized each year by donations from the community” says Jacobson, “and the actual cost of food, prizes, entertainment and operations cost well in excess of $175 per participant. The following have helped significantly with our costs this year: Community Projects, Kiwanis Club of Napa, Napa Valley Vintner's, Patrick Savage Memorial, Billco's Billiards & Darts, Gary Lieberstein (District Attorney of Napa County), Napa Valley Education Foundation, Jennie Thayer, Altamura Enterprises, and Napa Valley Marathon, among many others and we are extremely grateful for their support. Even one of Napa’s newer businesses, Dutch Bros., has got into the act and are denoting proceeds from all sales on April 6th to help support Napa Grad Nite!”

Napa Grad Nite is happily still taking donations and these can be made by visiting napagradnite.com or by contacting Britta Wallace, who is Director of Donations for Project Graduation at napagradnite2014@gmail.com

Napa Grad Nite traces its origins back to a tragic night in early June 1987 when three graduating High School seniors lost their lives in a car crash. From the result of that loss of life Napa Grad Nite was born and is now almost 30 years old.
