Napa Launches Plans For Former School Property

Napa completed the deal to acquire the former Harvest Middle School property and readies a community-driven recreation planning meeting.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — The City of Napa finalized the $25 million deal to take over the former Harvest Middle School property, a 26.6-acre site on Old Sonoma Road that city leaders say could transform local recreation and community space.

City Manager Steve Potter called the property an established recreational hub and emphasized the City’s goal of keeping programs running without interruption.

To guide future development, Napa will launch a multiphase engagement effort that includes a needs assessment, bilingual town halls and stakeholder focus groups. Potential amenities under consideration include sports fields and a pool or aquatic center. City officials encourage residents to participate as planning moves forward.
