Napa Man Accused Of Arson In House Fire: Police
No one was home when firefighters responded, but investigators tracked down the residents, one of whom was arrested, police said.
NAPA, CA — A Napa man is accused of committing arson and felony vandalism in a recent house fire, police said. Personnel with both the Napa fire and police departments responded Jan. 15 to find a home in the 3600 block of Evergreen Court fully involved in fire, with no one home, Napa police Lt. Gary Pitkin said.
After the fire near Jefferson and Tallac streets was extinguished, Napa Fire Department personnel deemed the fire suspicious, with evidence pointing to arson, Pitkin said.
As a joint investigation by police detectives and fire investigators unfolded, three people who lived at the home were located and found to be safe.
