Napa Man Found Hiding In Woods By Coastal Work Crew, Arrested
A Monterey homeowner reportedly discovered him in the home's kitchen, and he was arrested on drug, parole and burglary-related charges.

A 24-year-old Napa man was arrested in connection with a residential burglary south of Monterey this morning after a work crew found him hiding in the woods, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.
Kevin Michael Hagan was booked into the Monterey County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary, violation of parole and possessing narcotics and is being held without bail, according to the sheriff’s office.
At 9:47 a.m., the sheriff’s office was called to assist the Monterey Police Department and the California Highway Patrol in the search of a suspect in a residential burglary on Manor Road in an unincorporated county area just south of the city of Monterey, deputies said.

Earlier, a homeowner had discovered the suspect in the home’s kitchen and saw the suspect run out of the house.
The CHP flew a helicopter over the area where the suspect had fled, but authorities could not find him until a work crew several blocks away on Monhollan Drive flagged down a Monterey police officer and showed where the suspect was hiding in the woods.

An investigation found that Hagan had on him some property allegedly stolen during a recent home burglary in Pacific Grove and a police officer from that city later interviewed the suspect with a sheriff’s deputy, deputies said.
