Napa Man Missing Since Easter; Car Found In El Dorado Co.

NAPA, CA – Police are seeking the public's aid in helping to locate a 56-year-old Napa man, last reported seen on Easter Sunday and whose car was found on a dirt road in El Dorado County, officials said

Joseph Hackenkamp was last known to be at his home on the 400 block of Underhill Drive in Napa on April 1, and subsequent attempts to contact him were unsuccessful, the Napa Police Department said today.

The agency was notified by the man's family and friends of his "missing" status April 7 around 3 p.m., police said, adding that his information was logged into the national Missing Unidentified Persons System, and a “Be on the Lookout” was broadcast.

Hackenkamp is described as white, 6 feet 2 inches tall and 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

His vehicle, meanwhile, a 1994 Toyota Tercel with California license 3MNC936, was recovered April 11 by El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputies on a dirt road in an unincorporated area of El Dorado County near Georgetown, police said.

El Dorado deputies spent several days looking for Hackenkamp in the area where his vehicle was located and are continuing the search, Napa police said.
