Napa Police Arrest 2 In Cinco De Mayo DUI Saturation Patrol
Officers made a total of 62 enforcement stops which yielded two DUI arrests and multiple other citations, a Napa police sergeant said.

NAPA, CA — Two drivers were arrested Sunday in Napa as a result of a Cinco de Mayo DUI saturation patrol, according to the Napa Police Department. Officers made a total 62 vehicle-enforcement stops and evaluated 11 drivers using standardized field sobriety tests, said Napa police Sgt. Kristofer Jenny.
An officer stopped a 22-year old man from Napa on suspicion of a traffic violation and determined the man was driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana, Jenny said.
The second arrest was a result of a vehicle stop for equipment violation. The driver, a 19-year-old Calistoga man, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol, Jenny said.

Both drivers were booked into Napa County Department of Corrections on suspicion of DUI.
Also during the saturation patrol, one driver was cited on suspicion of possession of marijuana and another driver was cited on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, according to police.

The sergeant said another seven drivers got tickets for operating a vehicle without a license or on a suspended/revoked license, while six other drivers were cited for vehicle-code violations.
Funding for the DUI saturation patrol was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Napa police said.
