Napa Police Seek Suspect In Connection With Car-To-Car Shooting

A man in his 20s suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound in the shooting, police said.

NAPA, CA — Detectives with the Napa Police Department were continuing their investigation of a car-to-car shooting Saturday afternoon that left a man in critical condition.

The shooting was reported at 4:41 p.m. Saturday; the victim, a man in his 20s, told detectives he was shot while driving west on Imola Avenue, somewhere between Soscol Avenue and the onramp to state Highway 29, according to a Napa police sergeant.

The victim suffered one life-threatening gunshot wound and was listed in critical condition at a hospital, Napa police Sgt. Pete Piersig said.

"The initial information is this may have stemmed from a disagreement between drivers," Piersig said.

The suspect was said to be a Hispanic man with short hair and tattoos on his face who was driving a dark-colored, four-door sedan. A Hispanic woman was riding in the passenger seat of the suspect's car at the time of the shooting, police said.
