Napa Valley Ballet's 'Wine Country Nutcracker' Sunday
The classic Nutcracker tale, with a wine country twist.

‘Wine Country Nutcracker’ is the enchanting story of a young girl on Christmas Eve in Napa, California.
Together with her venerable grandfather, George C. Yount, and a very large family of future winemakers, she parties the night away in a custom-built wine cave on the Rancho Caymus, circa 1864.
Grandpa Yount was the first white settler in the Napa Valley and was greatly respected and much loved as a beneficent landowner and winemaker. He was also a master craftsman and fashioned a delightful toy Nutcracker in the image of a soldier as a Christmas gift for his beloved granddaughter.
