Napa's DUI Patrol Results From Super Bowl Sunday
Three DUI busts, plus two vehicle passengers apprehended for outstanding warrants.
From Napa Police Department:
Extra Napa County law enforcement officers were out on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 1 looking for DUI drivers. The Officers were participating in the AVOID the 9 which is a grant funded by OTS.
Five officers worked this operation from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., resulting in 68 vehicle stops in various cities and areas around Napa County.

During these vehicle stops, officers noticed 11 of the drivers displayed symptoms of alcohol or drug use. The 11 drivers were evaluated and 3 of them were arrested for DUI-related violations.
Three of these motorists were driving on a suspended driver’s license and their vehicles were towed and impounded for 30 days.

During one of these vehicle stops at Jefferson and George streets, Judith Molina, 51 years old, and Michael Sharp, 31 years old, both of Napa, were contacted.
They were both passengers in the vehicle and records checks were conducted. Molina had a felony no-bail arrest warrant out of Solano County. Molina was placed under arrest.
Sharp had outstanding felony and misdemeanor arrest warrants.
Sharp was placed under arrest and suspected methamphetamine was located on his person. Both Molina and Sharp were transported to NCDC and booked.
Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
