New Napa County Volunteer Fire Station Grand Opening Set
"In a time of emergency, seconds count," said Napa County fire Chief Barry Biermann.

NAPA COUNTY, CA – A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be hosted Saturday by the Napa County Fire Department for its new Capell Valley Fire Station Volunteer 214, located in the Berryessa Highlands community. The event, which is open to the public and includes a station tour, is to take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sept. 30, at 2151 Steele Canyon Road.
Attendees for the grand opening of the station will include Napa County supervisors Belia Ramos, Alfredo Pedroza and Ryan Gregory; NCFD Chief Barry Biermann; and Volunteer Station Chief Sandy Storck.
“This station will provide the local residents of Berryessa Highlands and volunteer firefighters with a fire engine to respond to emergencies,” Chief Biermann stated in a news release. “It is our hope that this will also have a positive effect for property owners trying to obtain reasonable homeowners insurance.”
