It is always wonderful to come across an artist who is so good at painting that you feel like you can walk into their paintings. Combine a strong sense of design, and a great eye, add a camera and you have an amazing photographer. Put beautiful paintings together with amazing photographs, and you have the art of one artist, Napa Valley Open Studios artist, Christine George.
With her special passes to photograph behind the scenes of the Kentucky Derby and other National Horse Races, and her skills at painting and photography, her out-going nature and wonderful stories make your visit a multi-media presentation. Christine’s studio is always a must see on the Open Studios tour.
As an artist, her inspiration comes from “Nature and lighting, along with the desire within to create something magnificent to show the power and grace of the equine subject, capturing their very essence of spirit in a moment.” That is definitely what she accomplishes with her work!
Christine’s studio is #7 on the Open Studios map, at 101 So. Coombs St., Studio # V24, on the Napa riverfront, ambience, as well as art! Christine is sharing her studio with acrylic artist Judy Donovan.
You can also find more of Christine’s artworks on the web at www.ChristineGeorge.com.
Cathryne Trachok works from, in, and around the Napa Valley, using her vision to create artworks celebrating the beautiful world we live in. You can see her work at www.catrachokstudios.com.
