Paul Pelosi Agrees To Court Date In DUI Case: Napa County DA
"If criminal charges are filed, Mr. Pelosi would be arraigned at that time."

NAPA VALLEY, CA — The Napa County District Attorney's Office is reviewing charges stemming from the May 29 DUI arrest of Paul Pelosi, Napa County District Allison Haley said Thursday in a news release.
In the meantime, Paul Pelosi, 82 — the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — has agreed to a court date of Aug. 3 at Napa County Superior Court, Haley said.
"If criminal charges are filed, Mr. Pelosi would be arraigned at that time," Haley said.

Shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday, May 28, Paul Pelosi was driving his 2021 Porsche when he was involved in a collision with a 2014 Jeep at the intersection of state Highway 29 and Walnut Lane in the Napa County community of Oakville, according to a California Highway Patrol incident report.
"The driver of the Porsche (Party Number 1, Pelosi) was traveling eastbound on Walnut Lane and attempted to cross SR-29, when his Porsche was struck by a party traveling northbound on SR-29 (Party Number 2, Lopez) driving a Jeep," the responding CHP officer wrote in the report. "Pelosi was arrested for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage at 11:44 p.m."

No injuries were reported in the collision, which remains under investigation, the CHP said.
At the time of the crash, the CHP arrested Paul Pelosi on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, the DA's Office confirmed. Paul Pelosi was booked into Napa County jail and cite-released.
A spokesperson for Paul Pelosi told news outlets that on the night of the incident, Paul Pelosi was attending a dinner party at the home of friends near Oakville.

"He left that party at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, to drive to his home a short distance away," CBS News reported, citing the spokesperson. "Mr. Pelosi was fully cooperative with California Highway Patrol officers who arrived a few minutes later."
Reached Thursday, Larry Kamer, spokesperson for Paul Pelosi, told Napa Valley Patch he had no further comment at this time.
The DA's Office continues to review the case.
"The case is currently under review to decide what, if any, charges will be filed against Mr. Pelosi," Haley said. "This is standard protocol for any DUI case that is referred by a law enforcement agency in Napa County. No decision has been made at this time. Any speculation to the contrary is incorrect. When a filing decision is made by the Napa County District Attorney, the media and public will be notified."
