Pedestrian Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Napa: Police
The victim, a 29-year-old woman, suffered major injuries but was able to provide a statement to officers.
NAPA, CA — A pedestrian suffered major injuries in a hit-and-run collision this week in Napa, police said.
The victim, a 29-year-old woman, was struck at 8:52 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of West Imola Avenue and South Jefferson Street, Napa police Sgt. Aaron Medina said in a news release.
Several people called 911 to report the crash.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital with major injuries but was able to provide a statement to officers.
Several witnesses also provided statements.

"The involved vehicle, described by witnesses as a dark green Jeep Wrangler-type vehicle with a black hard top, did not stop," Medina said. "The vehicle was last seen driving east towards the intersection of South Coombs Street and Imola Ave."
West Imola was closed in both directions from South Jefferson to state Highway 29 for several hours as the Napa Police Department's Accident Reconstruction Team conducted an investigation.
Initial information indicated the pedestrian was crossing West Imola southbound at South Minahen Street as the involved vehicle was traveling eastbound on West Imola.
As the investigation continues, police are seeking additional witnesses as well as footage of the crash possibly captured by dash cameras or home surveillance cameras.
