PG&E Employee Dies Assigned To LNU Lightning Complex Fire
The employee was clearing infrastructure such as poles and lines to make the area safe for emergency responders, according to Cal Fire.

NORTH BAY, CA — A Pacific Gas and Electric Company employee died while assigned to the LNU Lightning Complex fires burning in the North Bay area, officials with Cal Fire said.
The employee was found unresponsive Wednesday afternoon in his vehicle in the Gates Canyon area which is northwest of Vacaville; CPR was performed and the employee was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased, Cal Fire said in a statement Thursday morning.
The PG&E employee was clearing infrastructure such as poles and lines to make the area safe for emergency responders, according to Cal Fire.

As of Thursday morning, the LNU Lighting Complex fires have burned 131,000 acres in five counties: Napa, Solano, Yolo, Lake and Sonoma.

"We can confirm that a Vacaville-based troubleman passed away while assisting first responders as they dealt with the LNU Complex Fire," PG&E's North Bay Spokeswoman Deanna Contreras said. "Out of respect for the family’s privacy, we won’t be sharing additional details at this time."
