Prescription Drugs Taken In Robbery At CVS Pharmacy: Napa PD

Police released surveillance images of the suspect in the robbery in the hopes someone in the community recognizes him.

NAPA, CA — Prescription drugs were taken in a robbery Wednesday night at a Napa pharmacy, police said.

At 9:32 p.m. Wednesday, dispatchers received a 911 call about a robbery with a gun at the CVS store at 1558 Trancas St, Napa police Sgt. Aaron Medina said.

The suspect, described as a black man in his 20s, walked into the store and went to the pharmacy, police said.

"The suspect jumped the counter and held an object in his pocket which the victims believed was a gun," Medina said. "The suspect demanded access to the safe where narcotics are kept."

No one was injured in the incident.

The robber left the store with prescription drugs and got into a dark-colored sedan that took off westbound on Trancas toward state Highway 29, Medina said.

Officers searched the area and the highway but did not find any suspects.

On Thursday, police released surveillance images of the suspect in the robbery in the hopes someone in the community may recognize him.

According to police, members of the public can submit confidential tips at Tip411 or text a tip to Tip411.

"It is an option that you can use at any time to provide us information without identifying yourself," police said. "Anyone with a cell phone can send an anonymous tip to the Napa Police Department by texting the word 707NPD and the tip information to 847411 (tip411)."
