Pride Banner Vandalism Suspects Sought By Police In This Napa Valley Town
St. Helena police are seeking two people suspected of damaging a Pride banner outside a Main Street business.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — A Pride banner was vandalized outside a Main Street business in St. Helena early Thursday, and police are asking the public to help identify two suspects recorded on camera taking it.
The incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. June 11 at Napa Valley Vintage Homes, 1201 Main St., according to the St. Helena Police Department.
Two men were captured by a surveillance camera removing the banner.

The incident came shortly after St. Helena police and Mayor Paul Dohring raised a Pride Flag at the St. Helena City Hall in early June.
The St. Helena Police Department said all of its officers have completed LGBTQ Awareness for Law Enforcement and Hate Crimes Investigations training through Out to Protect, an organization that provides education and support for law enforcement professionals.

“The Pride Flag serves as a visible reminder that St. Helena is a community where all people are valued and respected,”police said in a statement
Anyone who recognizes the men on video, or has information about the incident, should contact Officer Martinez at 707-967-2850. Anonymous tips are welcome, police said.
