Results In: Napa County's Saturday Night DUI Saturation Patrols

Seven officers worked this operation from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

From Napa Police Department:

Napa County Law Enforcement Officers were out in force on December 13, 2014 looking for DUI drivers as part of the Winter Mobilization Holiday Campaign.

Officers from the Napa Police Department and American Canyon Police Department were participating in the AVOID the 9 which is a grant funded by OTS.

There were seven officers that worked this operation from 6:00 PM-2:00 AM, resulting in 89 vehicle stops in the various cities and unincorporated areas in the County of Napa.

During these vehicle stops, officers noticed 13 of the drivers displayed symptoms of alcohol or drug use. The 13 drivers were evaluated and 8 of them were arrested for DUI related violations.

Additionally, two drivers were driving with a suspended license and cited.

Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
