UPDATE: 2 Little Girls Tragic Victims Of Truck Plunging Into Russian River

Two adults were found alive in the vehicle this morning, authorities said. [Breaking]

SONOMA COUNTY, CA – Two girls, ages 4 and 7, died this morning when a truck went into the Russian Riverin Jenner, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol.

Two adults who were in the car were found alive in the water, according to initial information from the CHP.

The incident on state Highway 1 was reported around 8:25 a.m. The CHP confirmed there were two fatalities at 9:09 a.m. and Highway 1 at the Jenner Beach trail was closed in both directions.

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office's dive team responded to the incident, sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said.
