The Salvation Army Serves 15K Meals To Evacuees, First Responders
Currently, the organization's largest response to the LNU Lightning Complex fires is serving 80 people per meal at five Napa County hotels.
NAPA COUNTY, CA — The Salvation Army is continuing its response to the LNU Lighting Complex fires that have burned in six Northern California counties. Having served some 15,000 meals within the last two weeks, The Salvation Army crews as of Tuesday were focusing their efforts on feeding first responders and fire evacuees at five hotels in Napa County.
Since Aug. 18 when The Salvation Army first began its wildfire response, its crews have served meals near the front lines at more than a dozen Northern California sites, including in Vacaville, Yuba City and throughout Napa County.
The Salvation Army's largest response to the LNU Lightning Complex fires is currently in Napa County, where crews continue to serve approximately 80 people per meal.

All meals are prepared by students of the Napa Valley Culinary Training Academy, a four-week program which helps men and women who’ve overcome addiction and homelessness gain crucial training to enter the culinary fields.
"The Salvation Army is thankful to community partners who have stepped up to help us serve evacuees and first responders," said Samantha Jarosz, a spokesperson for The Salvation Army. "Partners such as CBS13 in Sacramento, Door Dash, McDonalds, KFC, Clif Bar & Company, West Coast Taco Bar, and so many more."
