Screenings, Education and Wellness at Free Cancer Awareness Event
Event is set for Friday, October 27 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m in Vallejo.

Details:
Kaiser Permanente believes that early detection saves lives. This free event will focus on the prevention and early detection of cancer and will include:
- Health education information on colon, skin, cervical and breast cancer.
- Community support and education groups.
- Booking appointments and same day mammograms and pap screenings for Kaiser Permanente members.
- Physician speaker discussing cancer prevention and early detection, focusing on cervical and colon cancer.
- Breast Cancer survivor sharing her personal story.
- “I Saved a Life” recognition event.
- Flu vaccinations for Kaiser Permanente members.
- Blood Pressure station.
- Domestic Violence Awareness Booth with Vallejo Police and Family Justice Center.
“Christine” the pink fire truck from Pink Heals of Solano will also be on site. The fire truck is used to help raise awareness about cancer and is a touching reminder of how many have been affected by cancer.
Community partners Fighting Back Partnership, Pink Plate and Pink Lemonade will also be on-site.
Plus, shop for fresh fruit and vegetables at Kaiser Permanente’s weekly farmers’ market.
This free event is open to the entire community; no need to be a Kaiser Permanente member to attend.
