Silverado Trail Closure: Signals Installed At Deer Park, SR-29
The temporary signals will improve traffic control on the detour route until repairs to the storm-damaged Silverado Trail are made.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Temporary traffic signals should now be installed at Deer Park Road and state Highway 29 to help drivers making the left turn from Deer Park to SR-29 while repairs are made to Silverado Trail, Napa County Public Works said Wednesday.
A section of Silverado Trail was damaged early Monday in a storm-related washout, forcing the closure of the roadway from Madrone Knoll Way to Meadowood Lane near St. Helena.
"Efforts are underway to reopen this section of Silverado Trail as soon as possible," Napa County Public Works said.

The county expects the repair work to begin as early as Friday in anticipation of reopening Silverado Trail within the next three weeks.
In the meantime, drivers on Northbound Silverado Trail should continue to detour using Zinfandel Lane to Northbound SR-29 and drivers traveling southbound on Silverado Trail should detour using Deer Park Road to southbound SR-29.

The temporary signals were expected to improve traffic control on the detour route, and Wednesday (Oct. 27) was the earliest time the signals could be delivered and set up, the county said.
"Drivers should expect changed conditions," the county said.

"Napa County appreciates your patience and cautious driving as we work to reopen Silverado Trail."
