Temporary Coronavirus Test Site Set Up In Calistoga

The drive-thru test site comes after Napa County public health officials confirmed nine new cases in the city last week.

CALISTOGA, CA — A drive-through coronavirus test site has been temporarily set up at the Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga in cooperation with the Napa County Health Department. Testing is available from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the fairgrounds located at 1435 N. Oak St.

"Due to the limited number of test kits available the test center is focusing on individuals in our community who may have been in close contact with individuals associated with the recent outbreak or who are symptomatic," city officials said.

The city is referring to an outbreak involving nine members of one Calistoga household who all recently tested positive for the coronavirus. As a result, county public health personnel began a contact-tracing investigation to determine whether anyone who'd come in recent contact with the household members may have been infected with the virus.
