Tide Miscalculation Leaves Boater Stuck
Crews assisted the man having difficulties in the Napa River.
NAPA, CA – Personnel from the Napa Police and Fire departments over the weekend assisted a boater whose craft was tipping in the Napa River, officials said.
"A little before 11 p.m. (Saturday) night, we responded along with NFD to assist a man in the Napa River who was in need," the Napa Police Department said. "The boater misjudged the tide prior to anchoring his boat just south of the Third Street Bridge."
"The boat began to tip over, however luckily the man was assisted off the boat by NFD, and everyone is safe," police said.
