Trio Busted For 6 Automatic Weapons: Napa County Sheriff's Office
Deputies initially conducted a traffic stop based on a report of shots fired in a moving vehicle.

NAPA, CA — Three men were arrested on suspicion of several gun-related charges after Napa County sheriff's deputies responded to a report Thursday night of possible shots fired from a moving vehicle.
The call came in around 8:40 p.m., and the reporting party said he could hear gunshots coming from a car headed southbound in the 3400 block of Atlas Peak Road, according to a news release issued Friday by the Napa County Sheriff's Office.
Moments later, a deputy made an investigative stop on a car with three men inside, near the 2100 Block of Atlas Peak Road, Sheriff's Office Spokesman Henry Wofford said in the news release.

The deputy saw an AR-15 style rifle between the legs of the passenger in the front seat, Wofford said.
When a second deputy got to the scene, the driver of the car, Shawn Stephen Brumley, of Vacaville, was commanded to exit the vehicle.

Brumley was searched for weapons and placed in a patrol car.
More deputies arrived and detained both the front seat passenger, Ernest Clark Davis II, of Napa, and the rear seat passenger, Joseph Pete Perez, also of Napa.
As deputies searched the car, they found an AR-15 style assault rifle on the front passenger side floor board, Wofford said.
A second AR-15 style assault rifle, three high-capacity magazines, and ammunition were found in the rear hatchback within reach of where Perez was sitting, Wofford said.
Both rifles were modified to be fully automatic firearms, and shell casings were also found inside the car, Wofford said.
The sheriff's office then got a search warrant for a Napa residence where they found six more guns, four of which were modified to be fully automatic weapons, Wofford said.
Brumley, Davis and Perez were arrested and booked in the Napa County jail on suspicion of multiple felony charges, including: possession of assault weapons, possession of machine guns, possession of silencers, and discharging firearms in a negligent manner.
