Watch For Lane Closures During Repairs This Week In Napa County

NAPA VALLEY, CA — Motorists in Napa County will encounter daytime lane closures and one-way traffic controls for more than a month as Caltrans crews repair erosion damage along State Route 121, a heavily traveled corridor connecting Napa Valley communities and recreation areas.

Caltrans will restrict traffic to a single lane between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. at two locations along SR 121, also known as Monticello Road, while construction crews complete erosion repair work designed to protect the roadway and improve long-term stability.

The first construction zone stretches from Circle Oaks Drive to the SR 121/SR 128 intersection. Crews will work in that area until July 22.

A second work zone extends from Vichy Springs Road to Wooden Valley Road. Construction activities there are scheduled from June 17 through July 21.

Electronic message boards will alert drivers approaching the work areas, and motorists should expect delays during construction hours.

Caltrans is urging drivers to slow down, follow posted traffic controls, and watch for workers and equipment near the roadway.

The schedule could change if weather conditions affect construction operations, according to Caltrans.
