• Firefighters Douse Two-Alarm Fire at Vacant CA Warehouse (fireengineering.com) — An early-morning two-alarm fire badly damaged a long-vacant warehouse near East Third Street and National City Boulevard, drawing more than 50 firefighters and mutual aid from nearby cities. Crews fought the blaze defensively as the roof burned through, and officials now warn of a high risk of collapse while investigators work on the cause and the city reviews next steps for the planned school project.
