Alameda County Firefighters Battle Raging Red Bank Fire
Firefighters from across the county are part of a strike team helping to battle the blaze in Tehama County.

ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — Firefighters from across Alameda County have deployed to help crews in Tehama County battle the Red Bank Fire that has now consumed more than 6,500 acres and is only 5 percent contained.
Overnight, 16 Alameda County firefighters deployed as part of a strike team with Berkeley, Fremont, Hayward, Oakland and Livermore-Pleasanton firefighters.
The Red Bank Fire started Thursday and was caused by lightning, according to Cal Fire. The wildlands blaze is burning in a remote area, but mandatory evacuations are in place and multiple structures are threatened, according to the agency.
