β’ When she refused a Newark man's attempts to pimp her, he ran her over with his car, police say (eastbaytimes.com) β A Newark man has been arrested after Oakland police say he ran over an 18-year-old woman with his car when she refused his efforts to push her into prostitution. Prosecutors have charged him with pandering, assault, robbery, and gun possession, and he's being held in Santa Rita Jail on $200,000 bail while the victim recovers from her injuries.
