Consider voting for Liz Ames Alameda County Supervisor Candidate and licensed Civil Engineer on June 2nd
Dear Friends
Liz brings new ideas and new revenues to help lead the county. She is fighting to improve public safety in Alameda County that has the highest crime rate overall, double the state average and one of the highest sales taxes in the state.
She is known as a fiscal hawk with a focus on good budgetary and financial policies. She is a staunch supporter of public safety, safe and clean streets and protecting our environment. She will advocate to build a section of the Niles Canyon Trail to protect vehicle conflicts with pedestrians and cyclists which as part of a Save Our Hills initiative in 2009. Liz will also advocate for trail developments in Newark.

There are safety and financial concerns in Alameda County. A passthrough, State Route 84, connects regional motorists to rapidly growing elite housing as well as worsening traffic congestion.
Liz will advocate for safe and clean streets in Newark using local and county transportation taxes to create more vibrant community and downtown street experiences.

Developers will advertise a highway connector, SR 84, Dumbarton Bridge that provides easy access for out-of-town jobs and expensive housing in town, out of reach for our working families.
Housing located in future flood-prone areas within Newark makes a choice between half wetlands and half development. Wetland estuary and trail adaptation plans are urgently needed to create open space closest to the bay. Building homes near the shoreline is a poor choice that compromises development given projections of sea-level rise, long-term flooding and public safety concerns.
