Update: Dead Body Found In Bushes At Coyote Hills Regional Park
The victim died of a suspected gunshot wound.

Update:
A man was found dead of a suspected gunshot wound this morning at Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont, according to police.
Around 6:30 a.m. a park visitor reported a deceased person found in the bushes just off Patterson Ranch Road near Paseo Padre Parkway, according to police.

Emergency medical crews were dispatched to the park, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The decedent had a puncture to the chest, which authorities now believe is a suspected gunshot wound.
No weapon was found at the scene, however, according to East Bay Regional Parks District spokeswoman Carolyn Jones. The decedent is described as a Hispanic male, but he has not yet been identified, Jones said.

The entrance to the park was temporarily closed, but it reopened around 11:15 a.m. after officers completed a search of the area.

The East Bay Regional Park District Police Department is investigating a suspicious death this morning at Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont.
Around 6:30 a.m. police received two calls regarding a body found in the bushes near the park entrance, just off Patterson Ranch Road, according to district spokeswoman Carolyn Jones.
The decedent had a puncture wound to the chest. No weapon was found at the scene, however, according to Jones. He’s described as a Hispanic male, but the victim has not yet been identified, Jones said.
The entrance to the park is closed, but there’s no threat to community safety at this time, according to the Fremont Police Department. Further details were not immediately available.
